Prayer is 1/2 of the relationship

Found a way to pray without a journal. Same concept, less painful. I’ve never been a pen-to-paper kind of gal, so it’s always been a discipline I’ve longed to have, yet couldn’t quite force myself into. I like spell check too much. So why not a blog? And why didn’t I hear of this sooner? I created a private blog where I can vent/spill/rave/plead/worship/praise & I am so excited. A few years ago I had a friend tell me that she had different journals for different occasions. She had a prayer requests journal & a praise journal, etc. With that in mind, my prayer blog is going to be specifically about the lost. Sometimes I lay awake at night thinking about the people in my life that don’t have a relationship with Jesus & I can hardly bear it. (I think my gift is evangelism). I know, in part, I need to trust the Lord more. He’s the One who’s working & moving & drawing them to Himself. It’s not me that saves by any means. On the other hand, this burden is also a privilege because it motivates me to share the Gospel. Mostly not with words. This quote by Lewis Sperry Chafer is one of my very favorites because it truly puts prayer for the lost in perspective:

“You cannot give a message about darkness to the unsaved. You cannot show an unsaved man that his greatest need is to believe on Christ. Only the Holy
