I had the most fun with my nephew Nathan the other night. He’s 7 & I suggested a date night for the two of us. He was so cute getting ready. He told me he wanted to wear his nice shorts, he fixed his hair all spikey and put on some deodorant! Cracked me up! He held the door for me at the pizza joint and we had a glorious time. We played video games while we waited for our pizza, he whipped my tail in glow in the dark miniature golfing, then we ended the evening with Race to Witch Mountain. The movie was ridiculous. It was supposed to be a kids’ movie, but it felt more like an adult movie that got dumbed down during the editing process. It was way too intense for children. Big thumbs down. BUT our evening was not ruined. He’s asked me at least 10 times when we’re doing it again. This week is Caleb’s turn. Any ideas for a fun date with a 10 year old? I could really use some creativity!

movies are tough for dates because you don’t get to talk much. hmmmm … 10. arcade for a mad match of air hockey and bad bad foods?
Lacie: Air hockey! Brilliant. He will love that. Plus he just got his braces off, so lots of popcorn and chewy candy. The ball is rolling now….
